The Sun Storedge T3 array is a versatile, expandable, and extremely cost effective FC SAN solution for your Workgroup and Enterprise datacenter implementations. The T3 array is a 9 slot enclosure that houses sun disk drive configurations ranging in capacities from 18GB to 300GB internally with a total capacity of up to 2.TAB per tray. With FC fabric in place, you can scale the Sun T3 array by adding up to (8) t3 array trays per 72" cabinet, and chaining multiple cabinets together. An Enterprise SAN solution, at workgroup pricing, the T3 arrays offer the lowest TCO available in any of the Sun StorEdge lines. With disks ranging from 7200 rpm to the fastest 15k rpm disk drives, your database applications can have all the raw capacity they crave, as well as all the performance they can handle. Hardware raid to the core, the T3 offers maximum performance at the controller level with cache sizes of 256MB to 1GB. The 1GB T3B version offers a full 2gbit connection to the host, or FC fabric switch providing the bandwidth your applications need for optimal transfer rates.
