The Sun Fire E4900 is a mid-range server that provides top-notch datacenter performance. The E4900 is a scalable solution that can house up to 12 1.35GHz UltraSPARC IV processors. On top of this the E4900 has the ability to run both UltraSPARC III and UltraSPARC IV processors in the same machine and on the same system. To back up its processing power the Sun Fire E4900 can hold up to 96GB of memory ensuring that your applications run seamlessly. For less down time and ease of maintenance the Sun E4900 was designed to allow the hot swapping of server components while the system continues to run. The E4900 is also easily integrated with a variety of StorEDGE products including Sun T3 Arrays, Sun 3510 arrays, and Sun 3310 arrays to ensure complete coverage of your datacenter needs.
