The Sun Fire V240 server offers great processing performance in a compact rack optimized setup. The V240 houses up to two UltraSPARC IIIi processors and can hold up to 8GB of memory. Along with this the Sun V240 has the capability to contain up to four hot-swappable Ultra160SCSI disks in 36GB, 73GB, and 146GB options. The V240 is configured for quick and easy network connectivity and can be partnered with other Sun Microsystems servers as well a Sun’s complete line of StorEDGE machines including Sun T3 Arrays, Sun 3510 arrays, and Sun 3310 arrays. With its comprehensive computing strength and efficient 2 rack unit size the only thing the Sun Fire V240 lacks is bulk.
