The Oracle X4270 M2 comes equipped with one or two quad-core or six-core Intel Xeon X5600 processors, 18 DIMMs holding 144 gigabytes of main memory, and six 2.5-inch SATA or SAS drives or four SSDs. The Oracle X4270 supports a variety of operating environments, including Oracle Solaris, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Oracle VM, VMware, Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux and Microsoft Windows.
