The Oracle SPARC T3-2 Server is a web infrastructure solution that's capable of handling 256 simultaneous threads. Powered by two 16-core SPARC T3 processors, the 3U Oracle SPARC T3-2 Server boasts four times the I/O performance than its predecessors. The Oracle T3-2 Server scales to 256 gigabytes of main memory via 32 DDR3 DIMMs; it supports 4 and 8-gigabyte memory slots.
Oracle engineers designed the T3-2 Server for many strenuous applications, including virtualization/consolidation, decision support, analytics, databasing and Java applications, among others. The Oracle T3-2 scales to 1.8 terabytes of internal disk storage when equipped with six 300-gigabyte 2.5” SAS drives. What's more, the T3-2 is built with redundant and hot-swappable components – including power supplies and fans – for true reliability.
