The IBM 550 server, known officially as the IBM eServer p5 550, is perfect for anyone seeking a datacenter solution that delivers top-speed performance and remarkable reliability. Powered by two or four IBM POWER5 processors, the IBM 550 comes equipped with up to 64 gigabytes of system memory, 31.2 terabytes of internal disk storage, 1.9 megabytes of Level 2 cache, 36 megabytes of Level 3 cache, and five PCIx slots. The IBM 550 supports the IBM AIX, SUSE Linux, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems.
